Son of poet Percy Bysshe Shelley, Sir Percy Florence Shelley was the last male-line descendant to bear the Shelley name; he is remembered for his efforts in preserving his father's legacy and supporting education, as evidenced by his involvement in laying the foundation stone of the Boscombe British & Foreign School.
