Five stake holes marked the west arc of a six-metre circular hut in Boherash, while the eastern half vanished beyond the digging limit. A late 13th-century pit cut through the floor, suggesting the structure stood during the medieval period rather than fading into mythical antiquity. The missing eastern wall still holds the shape of the room, waiting for someone brave enough to imagine how far the roof stretched.

Within the historic town (CO027-042----) of Glanworth, to the SW of 'Rock Abbey' (CO027-040----). Excavation in advance of a housing development in Boherash townland in 2004 revealed the remains of a possible circular hut site (diam. c. 6m) which was defined by five stake-holes that probably represented the W arc of a post-built structure. The E portion of the possible hut site extended beyond the limit of the excavation which was confined to the footprint of the proposed houses. Though a cluster of stake-holes recorded outside the perimeter along the NW arc may be unrelated to the structure, it is also possible that they represent some external contemporary feature. A late 13th-century pit and another undated pit were recorded within the possible hut site. Another excavated hut site (CO027-200----), dating to the medieval period, is c. 25m to the NW. According to the excavator (Cleary 2007, 92), given the medieval date for the other hut site (CO027-200----), it is possible that the late 13th-century pit (F133) and this possible hut site were contemporary.
