What is recorded here

Located towards the bottom of a W-facing slope and overlooking a col to the NE. Circular grass and fern-covered area (diam. 24m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2m; int. H 0.5-1m; ext. H 1.5m), with traces of an external fosse at E. This is surrounded by a berm (Wth c. 12m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1m), an external fosse and and an outer counterscarp bank (max. ext. diam. c. 60m). There is an entrance (Wth 4m) through the inner bank at NW, and there is an entrance (Wth 4.5m) through the middle bank at W. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996).
