Enclosure in Baurearagh (glanarought By., Banawn Ed)

In rough pasture, on an elevated area on the valley floor to the N of the Baurearagh River. A roughly circular area (int. diam. 26m) defined by large stones (T c. 0.6m; H 0.4m) N-SW which protrude above the bog and by only faint traces of an enclosing element SW-N. The interior is almost level. A hut site (KE109-042001-) internally abuts the enclosing element at SE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
