What is recorded here

Ballygarth, Dalystown, Dimanistown East, Dimanistown West, Julianstown West and Smithstown mark a lost battlefield in County Meath. No date, name or event has survived to sharpen the wound, but the combined places suggest a wide collision rather than a small skirmish. Men may have bled across fields now divided by town names, their voices swallowed by centuries. The absence is not emptiness; it is a chamber waiting for someone brave enough to listen.
