Marian soldiers and Irish warriors clashed at Aura in 1559, marking one of the earliest recorded battles of the Tudor conquest in County Antrim. The field holds no monument, only grass and memory, yet the violence broke through centuries of quiet to reshape who owned the land and who bled for it.
