This blue commemorative plaque records: The Voice of Cricket JOHN ARLOTT 1914-1991 Poet, writer and broadcaster. Born in Basingstoke, he was a pupil here at Fairfields from 1920 to 1926 and first saw cricket being played on May's Bounty opposite.
