Barntick holds a buried brick floor, three metres and sixty long, beside a loose stone wall on a gentle south-facing slope. Men digging for the Bord Gáis Éireann Pipeline struck the edge and stopped, leaving the rest beneath the soil. Post-medieval ceramics glinted among the dirt, proving the room had lived before the pipe arrived. The missing wall still stands somewhere under the grass, waiting for patience rather than shovels.

Situated on the gentle S-facing slope of a hill. Topsoil-stripping on the Bord Gáis Éireann Pipeline to the West revealed portion of the remains of a structure, the rest of which remained unexcavated. The remains consisted of a brick floor (3.6m N-S; 2.7m E-W) abutting a loose stone wall foundation. Numerous finds were recovered including post-medieval ceramic.
