What is recorded here

Indicated is a holy well in County Mayo, Ireland. Whether it marks a forgotten church, a burial place or a boundary, the name suggests people once pointed to it before walking away. Water may have filled the pit during storms or seeped up through clay in drought. Either way, the site still asks others to notice it and remember that it exists.
