Graveslab in Ballynakilly Lower marks a ruined church beside the Behy river, where buried bodies and standing cross-slabs still fill the rectangle. One interior marker carries the date 1710, anchoring the place in early modern time rather than legend. The poor preservation and crowded graves suggest a community that kept returning, naming its dead and shaping stone long after the building lost most of its form.

The poorly preserved, rectangular remains of this church stand in a graveyard (KE063-022----) on the E side of the Behy river. A large number of burials occupy its interior, while outside are numerous low upright slabs, some of which bear simple crosses. An inscribed grave-marker (KE063-022001-) in the interior of the church carries a date of 1710. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J.
