The parish church of Ballynacorra was originally built in the early 19th century, as evidenced by inscribed headstones dating from 1812, and is dedicated to an unidentified local saint or patron. Its rectangular design and ruined state reflect a modest rural church typical of the period, with significance primarily to the local community.
