Ballymacool Stone Ringfort is a collapsed Donegal cashel where two modern field boundaries cut through an ancient circular chamber. The site is small enough to walk across in a minute, yet the broken stone wall still marks a boundary older than the fields it now shares. People may have lived, hidden or worshipped inside that circle before human fields crossed it, and the hill may have held the shape of their fear or pride long after they disappeared.

Internal diam. c. 17m. A subcircular area now surrounded by a very, collapsed and overgrown stone wall. The estimated width of this wall is c. 1.3m. Two field boundaries now cross and meet inside the monument. It is situated just below the crest of a rise on land sloping steeply to the SE.
