Ballylynan,rahin held six cabins, a castle, an orchard and a church on a 1704 manuscript map, yet no exact spot remains named. The drawing preserves a complete small world: people eating, working, worshipping and defending within one valley. Forgetting the exact place does not empty it; it returns the cluster to the region that birthed it.
