Aghalislone Rath stands as an ancient earthwork in County Antrim, joining a long line of local sites marked by raths, barrows and tombs. Its name preserves a shape that may have been a fort, a boundary or a home for people who no longer leave written traces. The land around it is crowded with older wounds and shelters, suggesting this was never empty but busy with lives that did not record themselves.
