What is recorded here

Ballydown and Lisnaree hold a rath, an ancient earthwork whose boundary still traces the land. It is the kind of place where people may have lived, hidden or worshipped before written memory, shaping the field with their hands. The soil remembers that much even when the names and dates have slipped away.
