Fert Echtra is an unclassified megalithic tomb in County Mayo, Ireland, where ancient stones still mark a forgotten burial place. People may have gathered there to honour the dead, watch the sky, or simply remember what the land had taken. The tomb remains because stone outlives memory, and the shape of that memory has been lost.
