Detached seventeen-bay two-storey school over basement, built 1897, with contrasting banded slates, half dormer window and various projecting bays. Steep, double-pitched and hipped roof, natural slates with band of contrasting coloured and shaped slates, ashlar limestone chimney stacks and gabled dormers, cast-iron box gutter. Rusticated limestone plinth, nap rendered walls, limestone string and decorative eaves course. Stone cills, two-pane deal sash windows.
