Islay, Knockangle Point

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Islay, Knockangle Point as Inhumation (early Medieval), Long Cist (early Medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Early Medieval long cist; a simple stone burial chamber associated with inhumation practices. Its location on Knockangle Point suggests a possible connection to coastal trade or settlement networks in early Medieval Scotland.
