Luing, Tobar-na-suil is a holy well associated with Saint Fillan, a 7th-century Irish monk and healer linked to several sacred sites in the Scottish Highlands. Traditionally, the well was visited for its supposed curative properties, particularly for eye ailments, reflecting a common theme in Celtic holy well folklore where water is believed to have healing powers when used with prayer or ritual.
