What is recorded here

Ardcastle Wood is a farmstead hidden in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. Its exact age remains unknown, but the land still carries the shape of human labour. The wood may have fed families, sheltered livestock or simply marked a boundary between claimed and wild ground. Whatever it did, it did so quietly, away from roads and memory.
Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Ardcastle Wood as Farmstead (period Unassigned). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 100m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
