Dun Mhuilig

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Dun Mhuilig as Cross Base (early Medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Dun Mhuilig is associated with Saint Moluag, a 6th-century Irish monk and founder of the monastery on the Isle of Lismore. The site may have been used for early Christian rituals or as a waystation for pilgrims, reflecting the spread of Gaelic monastic influence in western Scotland.
