Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Gigha, Bun An T-sruthain as Cairnfield (prehistoric). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 100m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

A Neolithic cairnfield, dating to the early first millennium BCE. It represents communal burial or ritual activity, reflecting the social and spiritual practices of prehistoric communities in western Scotland.
