Honora, Lady Dowager of Kerry, built the plain limestone table in 1668 and reserved it for herself, her children and their descendants. She also helped rebuild the chapel, yet she left no carving, symbol or decorative mark on the stone. The chamber feels sharp because a powerful woman answered pride with a clear boundary: the chapel belongs to the community, but this tomb belongs to her line.
