What is recorded here

Graveslab in Ardfert is a tapering limestone slab from the 13th or 14th century, lying in the chancel with moulded edges. It measures 218 centimetres long, 79 to 58 centimetres wide and 16 centimetres thick. No name appears on its surface, yet the shape suggests a body once rested beneath it. The absence of inscription does not diminish the fact that someone was buried there, marked only by stone and time.
