What is recorded here

Tobernasool is a holy well in County Clare, Ireland. It is a ritual site where people may have prayed, washed wounds or marked the passage of seasons. The name and kind leave little doubt about its purpose, even when the history resists easy recall. A small water place can still hold a great deal of human life.
