What is recorded here

Three column sections lie broken in the chancel of St Finan's church, Church Island, County Kerry. They are not a complete shrine or a displayed monument, but a fragment kept inside a living church. That much is known. What is missing is the building they once rose in, the hands that shaped them, and the moment they fell. They still stand out because they survived somewhere else, then entered a place where people still pray.
