What is recorded here
Rev. W. Ferris (d. 1971) recorded a fulacht fia in Timothy Spillane's land which measured '46 ft. [14m] square, 5 ft. [1.5m] deep' with 'an old passage going through it' (WFP). It has not been precisely located and it is possible that it is in that part of Annaghbeg townland which is on OS 6-inch map 60.
