Eassie

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Eassie as Cross Slab (pictish), Pictish Symbol Stone (pictish). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Dated to the Pictish period (circa 4th to 9th century AD), the Eassie Cross Slab is carved with early Christian symbols and Pictish iconography, suggesting a religious or commemorative function. It may have marked a burial site or served as a waymarker along a pilgrimage route.
