Newton is a medieval castle and later farmstead in Angus, Scotland, where stone walls still stand beside fields that have fed people for generations. The castle may have been a defensive seat for a local family, while the farmstead continued the same land relationship long after knights stopped riding past. Together they suggest a place where power and daily labour shared one roofline, one well, one set of seasons.
