Aghaherrish holds a Rath, an earthwork built by human hands before written record. The ground still carries the shape of that choice: a boundary, a home, a warning, or a place of meeting. People lived around it, breathed near it, and forgot the names of those who first shaped it.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
