Afaddy or Silverspring holds a holy well in County Kilkenny, marked as a ritual site despite the absence of public details. The water may have sustained life, healed wounds or witnessed prayers long before written memory. Its name resists easy definition, preserving both identities instead of choosing one. The well continues doing what wells do: receiving, reflecting and waiting for people honest enough to notice.
