Aikey Brae

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Aikey Brae as Recumbent Stone Circle (neolithic) - (bronze Age). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Aikey Brae is a Neolithic recumbent stone circle, likely dating to between 2500 and 2000 BCE, and may have been used for ceremonial or astronomical purposes. Such sites are often associated with ritual activity and the marking of seasonal changes in prehistoric Scotland.
