Castleton Farm

No Class (event) (period Unassigned)

What is recorded here

Castleton Farm in Aberdeenshire has turned out horses, grain and generations since the Post Medieval period. Its U-shaped steading still stands beside modern buildings, while the old horsemill has vanished beneath roofed barns and new walls. The farm keeps moving, absorbing change instead of resisting it.
Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castleton Farm as No Class (event) (period Unassigned). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
