Kildrummy Castle is a ruined fortress in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, built in the 13th century as the seat of the Earls of Mar. It is one of the most extensive surviving castles from that era in eastern Scotland. The shield-shaped structure features independent towers and overlooks a steep ravine, reflecting its long history of sieges and royal ownership. Today Historic Environment Scotland preserves the site as a scheduled monument open to the public.
