What is recorded here

Deecastle is a working farmstead in Aberdeenshire where a triangular pond still feeds a lade toward the surviving buildings. Its U-shaped steading, sheepfold and unroofed outbuildings have changed since the early 17th century, but the arrangement still suggests people moving water, wool and daily life through the same narrow valley. The lost structures may have fallen to earthmoving or simply stopped being needed, yet the remaining rooms keep the old rhythm of the place alive.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Deecastle as Inscribed Stone(s) (period Unknown), Trough (period Unassigned). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
