St Drostan's Well

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records St Drostan's Well as Holy Well (medieval), Spring (nil Antiquity). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

St Drostan's Well is associated with St Drostan, a 7th-century Pictish saint and companion of St Columba, known for his role in spreading Christianity in northern Scotland. The well was traditionally visited for healing, particularly for eye ailments, and is linked to local folklore involving miraculous cures and protective rituals.
