Drum Castle Graveyard is a post Medieval burial ground in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, where the dead have slept beneath castle shadows since before modern maps drew its exact point. The stones may be gone or buried under grass, but the boundary of the dead still belongs to the living world. To walk there is to ask permission of ghosts who never stopped watching the castle rise and fall above them.
