What is recorded here

Deecastle is a working farmstead in Aberdeenshire where a triangular pond and northern lade still serve buildings first drawn on early maps. The U-shaped steading kept at least eight structures, a sheepfold, and two unroofed rooms before earth and time removed some of them. People may have lived beside that water for centuries, adjusting the fold and lade as needs changed. What remains is not a ruined postcard but a working place shaped by patience.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Deecastle as Farmhouse (period Unassigned), Farmstead (period Unassigned). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 100m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
