Lynturk Church is associated with Saint Fillan, a 7th-century Irish monk and missionary linked to several holy sites in Perth and Kinross. Traditionally, the site was a place of pilgrimage and healing, with local folklore attributing cures for ailments such as skin diseases and lameness to its holy well or sacred waters nearby.
