Castlehill is a farmstead in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, named for a large natural hillock rather than a built castle. Aerial photography reveals cropmarks of a possible medieval enclosure on the hill, hinting that people once shaped the land there before the farm took its present form. The earthworks have faded beneath soil and time, leaving only faint shadows in the fields to suggest what the hill may have been.
