Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Meadow as Burial Cairn (later Prehistoric). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Later Prehistoric burial cairn; likely dates to the Bronze Age. Its precise form is not specified, but such cairns were commonly used for communal burials and ritual activity in ancient Scottish landscapes.
