Bankhead

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Bankhead as Recumbent Stone Circle (neolithic) - (bronze Age). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

A recumbent stone circle dating to the Neolithic or early Bronze Age, likely used for ceremonial or astronomical purposes. Such sites are often associated with rituals linked to the solstices or seasonal changes.
