This bronze commemorative plaque records: To mark the site of the Religious House of the Knights Templars and of the Knights of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem.
The Knights Templar and the Knights Hospitaller were medieval military orders that played significant roles in the Crusades, defending Christian pilgrims and territories in the Holy Land, and are remembered for their martial prowess and charitable works.
