What is recorded here

Ravensworth Castle stands in ruins above Lamesley, North Yorkshire, holding two ancient towers inside a later house. It belonged to the Liddells and earlier families, but the name and shape point to a much older stronghold. The castle is no longer a home, yet it still marks the hill where local power was displayed, defended and remembered.
Ravensworth Castle is shown as a ruins on the public map of North Yorkshire. The saved point is the map point or the centre of its mapped shape.
