What is recorded here
Mortars and stones still mark the oval in County Derry, though the hands that shaped them have long since turned to dust. The chamber waits inside that ancient line, unchanged since the Christian era began, patient as the ground itself.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH within LARGE OVAL ENCLOSURE. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
