Glenloughan holds a rath where later hands added an annexe, marking the place as a scheduled site in County Down. The uncertain dates refuse easy judgement, yet the layered earth suggests people kept returning to shape the land their way. Perhaps the first ring served fear or pride, while the second answered hunger, love, or simple habit. That much is missing, but the ground still carries the shape of repeated choice.

The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH with later ANNEXE. Recorded period: UNCERTAIN; E.CHRIST.. Recorded protection: Scheduled. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
