Mortars and beams from the broken Rath were cut into the new house, and the old wall stopped being a ruin when it became a room. Ballyminetragh did not discard the place; it wore the place like a ring inside a larger body. The uncertain date becomes irrelevant because the stones are still speaking through the walls.

The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH, re-used as TREE RING. Recorded period: UNCERTAIN; E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
