RATH (O.S. memoir site) in Killunaght

RATH (O.S. memoir site)

What is recorded here

Killunaght still holds the rath, a buried chamber where early Christians whispered prayers before stone chambers became common elsewhere. The official record preserves the site but never explains whose hands built it or whose body first cooled inside. That absence is not a flaw. It is an invitation to hear the living voice the survey refused to write down.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH (O.S. memoir site). Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
