Mullanmeen Upper holds a rath, an ancient fortified place marked only as RATH in official records. The name resists explanation, but the function is clear: a boundary drawn around life, perhaps with stone, perhaps with soil, perhaps with fear. People may have lived inside that circle while storms raged outside, certain the ground itself knew when to hold them.
