What is recorded here

RATH in Maine North, County Derry, is a recorded ancient earthwork, not a vague legend or a lost fantasy. That much is clear. The rest is shadow: whether it marked a farm, a fortress, a boundary or a forgotten gathering place. A rath is a room built by human hands, and rooms require life. Someone lived beside it, worked it, feared it or prayed within it. The ground remembers even when the name resists explanation.
